GCM Bethesda—Suburban Imaging

GCM Bethesda-Suburban Imaging is a joint venture between Suburban Hospital and Doctors Groover, Christie & Merritt, P.C. We offer a full range of advanced imaging modalities, including PET-CT, High-Field MRI, and multi-slice CT for diagnostic and screening CT exams. We are also proud to provide digital diagnostic and screening mammography as well as breast ultrasound, MRI, and interventional services for the Suburban Hospital Breast Cancer program. We are now a designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

Our imaging center uses all digital equipment and is filmless. This technology enables referring physicians to view their patients' studies from their home or office via a secure internet connection. Patients may also take a CD of their images with them after their exam. Studies can be transmitted electronically to subspecialty-trained GCM radiologists throughout our practice, providing rapid access to the highest quality interpretation.

Directions:
We are located on Rockledge Drive between Democracy Boulevard and Rock Spring Drive in the Suburban Outpatient Medical Center.

From Gaithersburg and points North:
—follow I-270 south
—follow the left (east-bound) spur and take the first exit (Rockledge Drive/Old Georgetown Road)
  —make a right at the top of the offramp (Rockledge Drive)
—follow Rockledge Drive approximately 1/4 mile 
—the imaging center will be on the right

From Silver Spring and points East:
—follow I-495 west
  —take I-270 (exit 35) north
  —after approximately 1.5 miles, exit at Rockledge Drive , exit 1B
  —turn left onto Rockledge Drive
—proceed through the next light
—turn right into second parking lot
—building is on the left hand side

From Northern Virginia and points South:
—follow I-495 north
  —take I-270 (exit 38) north
  —after approximately 1/2 mile, exit at Democracy Blvd.
—follow Democracy Blvd. east
  —at the second light, make a left onto Rockledge Drive
  —the imaging center will be on the left

From Bethesda/Washington DC:
—follow Old Georgetown Road north
—make a left onto Democracy Blvd. (Wildwood Shopping Center will be on your right)
  —at the first light, make a right onto Rockledge Drive 
—the imaging center will be on the left

Parking:
Public garage parking is available. Obtain a parking ticket from and insert the ticket to lift the entry gate into the garage. Park on street level and walk to the building’s main entrance or you may park on the first underground level and take the far rear elevator directly to the third floor. There is also metered parking on Rockledge Drive.
